NDIS Support for Eating Disorders

Celebrating a decade of operation, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has expanded across Australia, aiding over 500,000 individuals with disabilities. We offer comprehensive resources and individual funding packages to enhance economic, social, and community engagement (National Disability Insurance Agency, 2022a).

Eligibility:

NDIS access is determined by age, residency, and disability. Individuals under 65 residing in Australia, meeting disability criteria, may access tailored plans for funded supports (National Disability Insurance Agency, 2021). While eligibility criteria may vary, our mission is to address gaps in accessibility, particularly concerning eating disorders.

Understanding Eating Disorders:

Eating disorders, complex mental health conditions, pose significant challenges and potential long-term consequences (Hay et al., 2017). Despite their severity, many individuals face rejection for NDIS access due to perceived ineligibility. Our aim is to advocate for those impacted, ensuring equitable access to vital services.

We have many clients currently on NDIS plans who are eligible to see our Psychologists & Nutritionists. Get in touch with the team to get more information.
